Can't take notes

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start logging (GPS box blue)
2. Click "Take note"
3. Get dialog box "This function is available only when the gpsw is active and 
a signal is available."

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
GeoPaparazzi 3.3.0 on a Samsung Charge

I have tried to reproduce this problem for days now and neither me nor a 
colleague of mine was able to get this problem. 
Is there any other info you can give us?
Could you try to uninstall and re-install the application? Something might have 
corrupted the preferences space, which might create confusion.
