Cart does not work on FPGBC #2

The cart hangs on launch on the FPGBC, My unit is hardware version V1.1 running firmware V1.06 which is the latest as of this posting. I don't expect this to be fixed especially given the known issues with the GBA already but I wanted to report it for completeness sake. When FunnyPlaying reopens after the Chinese holidays I plan to email them as well to make them aware. The cart works as expected on an original GBC.

Hi, the FPGBC probably samples a bit earlier for the data which the flash cannot provide in time then. I don't have a FPGBC so I can't look further into it right now.

Does this effect all games, or only the GBC games? Or is even the Bootloader not showing?

The bootloader fails to launch, it actually hangs at the end of the boot logo for the FPGBC itself (which is a clone of the normal GAMEBOY boot animation it just says FP-GBC instead).

I received my FPGBC today. I had an initial look and it seems that the cartridge bus is driven quit differently to original hardware. It might be possible to the get the cartridge running, but it's so different that it probably needs a special firmware.

It is not on the priority list right now though to look further, but I will do in the future.

Hi shilga, is there any update on this? I just got a FBGBC and was hoping to use your cartridge on that. There's quite a lot of attention on that product lately, so looking at this issue would probably help a lot of people. If/when you decide to start looking into this, is there any way I can help? I'm not that technical, maybe with testing?

I've seen that there had been a few firmware releases for the FPGBC since the last time I have looked at it. They also state that they improved clocks. That might be interesting to get this cartridge running. But I cannot guarantee anything. The FPGBC is really different on the cartridge slot than the original Gameboy.
