Thank you for considering new ideas! Currently, after exporting OBJ files from Plasticity and importing them into Unreal, shading errors occur. However, when first importing OBJs into applications like Houdini, 3ds Max, or Maya and then exported as FBX, the normals' smoothing is preserved, resulting in correct rendering in Unreal. I wanted to kindly request the consideration of additional export options, such as FBX, USD, or even ABC (Alembic), to bypass stepping through another app to get to UE5.
