yes a team can be used for more than one season. however...
the following is how f1 works re: teams IRL which as always may not be strictly relevant to our plans ;-) ferrari has campaigned in f1 since the beginning & mclaren has been around for decades. that said teams are bought and sold espeically midfield and backmarker teams. red bull racing (driver & constructor champions for this past season & the season before) were originally stewart grand prix which was sold on and became jaguar racing which was sold on and became red bull racing. the team entity is the same insofar as it is the entry with FIA (Federation Internationale de l'Automobile) that blesses a team to compete in the f1 championship.
in 2011 the following teams competed: Red Bull Racing, McLaren, Ferrari, Mercedes, Renault, Force India, Sauber, Scuderia Toro Rosso, Williams, Lotus, Hispania Racing Team, and Virgin.
in 2012 lotus will be renamed caterham, renault will be renamed lotus, and virgin will be renamed marussia. it's the same team, but the name has changed.
so... yes, a team needs to belong to a season in that a team's name can change from season to season.
Can a Team be used for more than one Season? My guess is "no." So, is this correct?
