All black Launcher icon after "Better Image Smoothing" #100

What steps will reproduce the problem?
I used a high quality 512x512 PNG image on the Launcher icon generator, or any 
other large image for that matter.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Smoother image expected, black icon shown instead.

Please provide any additional information below.
Using the attached example image.
