Using chromium go to

http://android-ui-utils.googlecode.com/hg/asset-studio/dist/index.html

then select "Generic Icon Generator" option

Select an icon from your computer or a clipart, then push "DOWNLOAD.ZIP", then
you get a 19 bytes file with the following content

[object Uint8Array]

I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 and chromium

Using firefox it works, but it just says

"Currently only Google Chrome is recommended and supported. Your mileage may
vary with other browsers."

It also works on another computer with Ubuntu 12.10.

Hm, Chromium 20 is a very old version, why are you still using that?

I've installed chromium using Ubuntu Softwarecenter, so I guess you would have
to ask Ubuntu about that.
However since you asked, I updated chromium using this ppa:
ppa:a-v-shkop/chromium, which brought me up to this version: Chromium
23.0.1271.64 Ubuntu 12.04
and now it works.

For my sake, you may close this issue, but since Ubuntu 12.04 is the officially
supported platform for android development, it may be worthwhile to resolve it
without having to use an unofficial ppa.

Since Chrome auto-updates (I guess Chromium doesn't), I'm going to go ahead and
close this.
