Backport 1.19 Changes to 1.18 (This also updates to 1.18.2) #15

I also have a branch with cleanup changes if permitted to merge. Currently this is just a straight backport apart from a difference in render type as it didn't exist in 1.18

sadly not, it's just me as main dev for now and im in between jobs & doing multiple things for work
