Alexa doesn't seem to be working. #1

I installed the Assistants-PI and everything seemed to complete successfully. The Google Assistant listens and responds to commands. However, Alexa doesn't seem to respond to queries. I can see in the wakeword engine this is listening and receiving the command, but no response is returned.

A kind request, next time, open issues in the respective git.

  1. Can you confirm that you authenticated Alexa?
  2. What is your audio setup? Mic and Audio out ?
  3. Post the outputs of arecord -l and aplay -l
  4. What audio configuration did you choose during setup ?

Apologies - wasn't sure which git was appropriate.

  1. I did authenticate successfully.
  2. USB microphone with HiFiBerry Amp2 (dtoverlay=hifiberry-dacplus)
  3. See below.
  4. I chose USB Mic and 3.5 out. which seemed most appropriate compare to the other options.

What is interesting is that I deleted everything in /home/pi/.asoundrc and this seems to have resolved itself. I can use both the Google Assistant and Alexa now without issue. In the console, the wakeword engine is still throwing all the errors in my previous post. You can close the thread. Thanks!

They are warnings that snowboy will throw out because of the dsnoop plugin. Glad that issue was solved..
