We'll accommodate those ports when all the necessary libraries are packaged. (That includes at least i386 libs and a few custom patches).
Meanwhile there this chroot thing with even newer libraries described in the readme, so you can just use that. It's not some kind of temporary workaround prompted by the old CentOS 7 libs, it's meant to emulate Valve's container runtime environment and it's pretty much required for decent experience.

Rocky Linux 9 has just been added to FreeBSD ports tree. It is probably going to replace Redhat 7. I suggest that linuxulator-steam-utils will be updated to this never version. It resolves among other things "glibc to old" bugs.
