Do you want to request a feature or report a bug?
Bug
What is the current behavior?
Example Plunker using the latest version does not go beyond "Loading...". The same code works in a standalone app, though not as expected; that is another issue - this is to do with the Plunker template. I wish to use a Plunker to demonstrate the other issue I am having. This is a StackBlitz equivalent of the Plunker:
https://stackblitz.com/edit/angular-rnpcgg
Which demonstrates the other issue I'm having, namely that no "dialog" is rendered. I realise that I may have missed something
What is the motivation / use case for changing the behavior?
To make it work
Please tell us about your environment:
Refer to the plunker link
Angular version: ?

Other information (e.g. detailed explanation, stacktraces, related issues, suggestions how to fix, links for us to have context, eg. stackoverflow, gitter, etc)
