Default text size does not appear selected in preferences #36

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open Preferences -> Appearance -> Font Size

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected to see the default text size (19) selected.  Instead no size is 
selected from the list.

I believe that this occurs on a fresh install / cleared preferences, but I also 
believe that I have seen this other times.
