Dynamic Axis Tickmarks for given date range #588

Hi, I have a graph that tracks a survey score along a date range for rating 
morning sickness.

You can complete a survey every six hours but completing surveys is not 
mandatory. What I'd like is to be able to have a date-range chart where the 
major ticks snap to my data points. (Offsets given in seconds) so that way I 
can have readable dates/times without crowding the chart with labels that 
require a ridiculous amount of zoom.

Let me make sure I understand the situation. You have a time scale with varying 
gaps between the data points. You would like to collapse the gaps and just show 
the measurements at even intervals along the axis. Correct?
