FR: allow using different topics #2

Both for interactive commands and, specially, as a function. How would you advise to implement it (newbie Elisp'er here)? Would you be open to review a PR?

Hi @pataquets, my sincere apologies for the delay. Ironically I didn't get the notification before! Yes, I would absolutely love to review and merge a PR. Thank you for taking interest. I'll look at the package again this weekend.

@pataquets just to add to the absurdity. I got notified if your comment by @benoitj on IRC. A completely separate notification channel 😂
