Tried to get inside the Turkish Airlines lounge in Istanbul new airport, but it didn't work. What could have been the problem? Normally, the doors would open in the old lounge, also noticed that the doors are now different, much faster, doors open in less than 40split seconds prob., I saw from the others entering. What could be the problem(didn't try for the 2nd time), has anyone tried to get into the new lounge in Istanbul?

Damn so the method you used to enter in Ataturk isn’t working in the new airport? I was hoping they kept the security system the same :( They might have updated to check the system if in fact the boarding pass is true. Will try myself next time I fly and report back.

They might have changed the security system in the new airport, but the new entrance doors are faster than the old ones, I don't really think that it checks passenger info. I'll be flying from the new airport within 3weeks, and definitely gonna try again to see if it works, there are 2 separate lounges now, one for miles and smiles gold members and the other one is for business class passengers, the one that I tried to get it was the business class lounge but you can also access the miles and smiles lounge with a business class ticket, you can also try the miles and smiles lounge almost everything is the same.

I did try around EU – worked just fine in 80% of airports

Frankfurt, Warsaw, Gdansk, Katowice, Kiev, Catania, London If they ask you for the boarding pass (thus they dont have a qr reader – happens sometimes) – app named "Pass2U wallet" comes in handy – you might generate a boarding pass as well ;-)

How did you get into Frankfurt? I tried getting into Lufthansa lounge and got denied. What lounge was it? Could you share some of your codes if you still have them?

Usually what I do is I scan my actual economy class ticket and extract the code. Then when recreating I usually just change the “class” part of the code. So instead of a “Y” I’d change it with a “J”. What are your thoughts?

Downloaded the Pass2U app and it looks like a nice app to generate boarding passes especially for Lufthansa and United but the Aztec code's curves look so fake, but prob. lounge staff wouldn't understand.

UPDATE: Writing from the Turkish Airlines Business lounge in Istanbul Airport. I am flying business today and thought why not try this aztec generator aswell, so what i did was instead of a TK flight, i made a LH(Lufthansa) boarding pass and was able to get inside, I’’ flying biz today but definietly gonna use this on my next trip from IST

Hello, I leave on August 16th for a stop in Istanbul. I am interested in this trick. If I am in economy class I will have to change to put it in business class? As for TK, will you advise me to change it for LH?

UPDATE: I tried to use this and enter the lounge again, it failed, I don’t know why, changed the name still didn’t work, I have business ticket now, if I didnt have a business ticket, then it would be a problem for me. I actually know another trick but its not for free 😂. It registers you as Star Alliance Gold in the airline system, which means that you can use the Business class checkin area, priority boarding, lounge, priority baggage handling, etc. all the benefits of Star Gold.

I leave from algeria to istambul and istambul to Canada. I stay there for 24h and I’m supposed to have the free hotel but no cause I need to pay the visa to go to the hotel which is outside of the airport.

Emirhan the new airport has these “guards” (desk workers) checking your info before going up the escalators to enter the lounge. How would one get around that? I can’t show a economy ticket, neither my non-existing Elite card. Any chance you could share that Lufthansa template?

Those “guards” are not always there, even if they’re they don’t check your boarding pass. All they ask you is Are you flying biz, or if you’re star alliance gold, some people think that they need to show their boarding passes and they do so and if someone shows them a boarding pass they check it but if you don’t show them your boarding pass and just tell em that youre flying business, you can easily get to the lounge, but mu lufthansa pass worked once

would anyone have a functional technique to access the lounge? If I understand the qr code is not functional to access the buisness lounge. And what’s the boarding index and where can i find it.

I tried to use this method in Istanbul airport turkish lounge(was flying biz this time so nothing could go wrong even if this method didn't work, I still had a legit business class boarding pass.) The aztec code didnt work(tried it in the miles&smiles lounge because most of the times when u scan a business ticket it doesnt work so you need to go to the lounge desk to get support, what I did was I told them that I used the business lounge and had already been to this lounge but everytime i scan it it doesnt work, the lounge receptionist didn't even ask a single question and opened the door.
