Add planning example to manual. #124

Also fixed a couple of small issues in the documentation.

Anyone able to have a quick look at this before I merge?

If you have trouble formatting to see the changes, I will see about setting up formatting in the CI. Not sure how to store different versions of the manual for different branches, so if anyone has suggestions, they would be very welcome!
