Call plugin function onclick #5

Hello. I'm just getting started with shopware plugins.

Is there a way to execute a function of a plugin with the onclick in the menu.xml and that the dropdown collapses again? Couldn't find it in the documentation.

JQuery and Ajax I guess? Tbh, a simple open new tab with URL would be enough for me since I'd just let javascript close it instantly again. Faster that way.

Nvm just realized that I can put pure JS in there sorry.
