The invitation pages should both have a fixed action bar presenting both stores buttons ("get the app" buttons). The reason for this is to let the users know, before even downloading the app, that we are a cross-plattform services. @n33 this fixed action bar appears when the user starts to scroll the page down.

I don't think we should have a fixed action bar. There are already two "Get the App" buttons. Having a third, and then including yet another button (for a completely different platform) not only clutters the screen but also confuses users. The design as Moe made it is, IMO, fine as it is.

hi @n33

There's a general message I must mention – since I feel like there is a miscommunication about it.

When building those pages, the most important thing is to test it on a iphone4/iphone5/5s screen – to verify that the most important part of the screen is always visible to the users – in our case the most important part on the screen, the "call to action" of our page is the "Get the app" button, therefore – this button should ALWAYS be available to the user.

Looking at the page you built, I see the following notes:

  1. The phrase "Hello! You're invited to share photos on.." should be positioned higher in the screen, closer to the action bar, the text should be with a darker font.
  2. All the fields concerning the event data must be bigger and with a darker font.
  3. The photo carousel – can be presented smaller, but, the current carousel structure isn't clear to users – they simply don't know that they need to scroll the photos – we need a small line of 4-5 white dots beneath the photos, so that the user will know that he can scroll through the photos.
  4. The "get the app" button – can be positioned a little bit higher.

And from that line in the page – you can throw away all the design from the PSD and use only your own design from the first landing page you built back then. instead of "Shotvibe is the simplest..." Please write "Glance. the fastest way to create shared albums with groups of friends." and the "Glance can be bold.
Here are screenshots to remind you what i mean.

Btw, I opened the pages on Android devices and they were similar to the iOS device, while in the past, the invitation page recognized on which device it gets open. Let's finish first the event invitation page – and only then we'll move to the other page. 2014-03-11 03 05 34 2014-03-11 03 05 27 2014-03-11 03 05 30

  1. No problem.
  2. No problem.
  3. Doable. It'll require some JS though (which I avoided, since as I recall you guys wanted to keep this as lightweight as possible). Let me know.
  4. No problem.

OS Detection: I can include that (again, requires JS; I believe the original just came in an Android version and a iOS version, and you did detection ahead of time).

Line: Not sure what you mean by this?

  1. great.
  2. great
  3. please do.
  4. great.

OS Detection - required line - i mean all the rest of the page, that goes from beneath the first "get the app button". i sent you some screenshot to remind you what you did there in the past.

ajlkn commented 10 years ago

Clear on everything except what you mean by this:

"line - i mean all the rest of the page, that goes from beneath the first "get the app button". i sent you some screenshot to remind you what you did there in the past."

It basically looks that way already. Are you saying you want me to redo everything from below the first "Available on the App Store" button to resemble the original (with updated styling)? If so, that's no problem, but I'd basically be starting over with all of these changes.
