3 years ago 32 is an absolute limit for this game, 31 is a more safer limit. You also can't go over 4/8 without mods.
SourceTV takes a slot out of limits, with this extension it shouldn't mess with available human slots, when otherwise it would.
When it comes to HLTV slots, you're not really limited, just keep in mind that adding more HLTV slots will require more processing power and bandwidth (tv_transmitall set to 1 almost doubles that requirement).
Even if it is source tv it is still tied to the engine ? Max players allowed by Left 4 dead 2 without extension is 18 players i think. What if i set 40 spectators slots for hltv for example, could it make crash the server ? It is a little complicated to test that but it is good to know what will happen.
