Jelly Bean 4.2? "Start a stream to enable the preview!"

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Run sypdroid
2. Enable both HTTP and RTSP
3. Preview says "Start a stream to enable the preview!"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to see preview of what the camera sees, but the screen is blank and 
the above message is displayed.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
spydroid 8.0.2
Galaxy S4 GT-I9500
Android 4.2.2

Please provide any additional information below.

Has anyone been able to get this application to work under Android 4.2.x?  My 
understanding is that they introduced some new restricted access mode that 
prevents applications from accessing each others space unless they run as root. 
 CatLog stopped working (it only logged itself) until I rooted the  phone and 
CatLog could run as root, then it worked like a champ.  Several other apps no 
longer work, such as recording the screen as a video file using Z-Recorder.  
The developer said he would have to enable his app to request root in order to 
run.  Not an expert, but seems like a lot of people are having this same issue.

P.S. Just tried spydroid on my Galaxy Nexus phone, running Android 4.2.2 and it 
works just fine.  Must be something about the Galaxy S4.

You need to start the stream from a web browser and the preview will appear

Doesn't work on Xperia Z1... Tried VLC and Browser... preview doesn't work 
neither... VLC can't connect at all, web server works, but it stucks on 
"Connecting" and nothing shows up. Preview says "Start a stream to enable 
preview!".
