I followed the instructions on the webmaster documentation to deploy the website. This worked once. Then I got an error like "URL not defined". My best bet is that npm is too old of a version, but I can't update it since it's on the twang6 user account. I tried running deploy.sh from just the macadmin user, and that worked once and never again. The script runs with no errors, just "high severity vulnerabilities" and the website isn't updated. I've tried updating the npm in the macadmin user but that didn't fix it. Can anyone else see if deploy isn't working for them? It's weird to me that it would work once and then stop even though I didn't touch anything on the macadmin computer.
I'm a cruft predating twang, but let me know if I can help set you up with a user account on the server. I did the setup for the current meteor infrastructure long ago. dms available at nchinda2@mit.edu.
