I've used msys gcc 4.5.0 successfully with libvpx 0.9.5
msys / gcc is here
http://sourceforge.net/projects/mingw/
Where did you get 4.5.1?

To be sure I was using the right compiler, I configured with CC=
CC=mingw32-gcc ../libvpx/configure --target=x86-win32-gcc --disable-psnr 
--disable-postproc

Trying a build with msys gcc v4.5.2 today... going to close this if things work

Closing.  Works w/gcc v4.5.2 @ v0.9.6-102-g9103699.

Please update the issue, or file a new one w/reproduction steps if the error 
can be reproduced.
