receiver xbee data to arduino serial monitor

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. i have my transmit node connected to a accelerometer sensor  with x , y , z 
2. i receive packet fine to my receiver node when using X-CTU program 

am trying now to connect my receiver to arduino to read the data from my xbee 

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

please i would an answer on how to read the data out from my xbee in arduino to 
the serial port monitor .

i have tried so many things but i cant find how to do it 

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
am using XBEE series 1 ,  ARDUINO uno 

Please provide any additional information below.

if possible a program example to read the data out from my xbee . 

the pin am connecting to from Xbee Dout to RX in arduino 

is it like is when you read the data ????

In addtion i already the the xbee library installed and also it is working fine 
. so that is not the issue 

also i dont have the xbee shield and i supporse since i only need to read the 
data out from my xbee is to connect RX pin 0 to Dout on xbee . ??
