Most business managers have a set of business objectives. These can be formally defined key performance indicators (KPIs), against which their performance is measured, or they can be more informal, self-imposed, objectives. A data warehouse can be designed to help them to achieve their business objectives if they are able to express them clearly and to describe the kind of information they need to help make better decisions in pursuit of their objectives.
