Dismiss alarm doesn't stop alarm from going off at set time

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Set alarm
2. Have the alarm go off because of moment
3. Select "dismiss" (not snooze)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expect Alarm is dismissed for the day.  
Alarm goes off again at the preset time.  

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Beta-most recent  dod droid 2.2

I just reproduced this.  
At 7:57 I set the alarm for 8:4b and selected sleep.  The alarm went off at 
8:17 when I turned over while reading my book.  I selected "dismiss", and went 
back to reading my book.  Eventually I read some emails on my phone.  At 8:40 
the alarm went off.  
This is a droid x with android 2.2 on it.  And a different phone than the first 
time I reported the problem.
I have not used any other alarm function that comes with the phone besides 
electric sleep.
