support accumulate #78

I often process vectors of categorical information, and need to transform them 
(often as an intermediate step) into probabilities of being in a certain 
category in the vector up to a certain index. This sort of functionality could 
be supported by the addition of sum.accumulate(), and would be quite useful for 
me.
