Hi, thanks for your report! What do you mean by multiple area captures? The area selection tool allows to select one rectangular area, not several, that's intended. I don't know any screenshot tool which would allow selecting multiple areas at the same time. So I suspect that I don't quite understand, what you are saying...

Hi MIchael

Thanks for your time

Use Shutter at Ubuntu 20.04LTS and when capturing each section, the images stayed on the main screen. After each of them could save them in the folder

Unfortunately I could not share an image with what I mention because I update Ubuntu 22.04LTS

I hope my explanation can help. Thanks

I fear, I'm still confused... Do you possibly have several displays in use and are trying to get a screenshot from your second display?

Sorry for the late reply. I made the graphical environment change to Xorg.. I just downloaded the app from the ubuntu software store and it is already working correctly. For your time and support, Thanks.

Great, thanks for coming back to it!

Hi Michael:

Not several displays. Its the Selection Area option

I get a reference image.

Captures were placed in the Session section. Currently in the Ubuntu 22.04 version the Selection option appears as disabled

This is expected, if you are using Wayland instead of Xorg, see https://github.com/shutter-project/shutter/issues/187.
