Update… Please! #25

I know the dev is probably busy but this is an amazing addon that I used a lot. And with the new blender features it’s really hard to justify staying on 3.6. So please, if you are reading this, please update it. Or at least issue refunds to everyone who paid for it. I know it’s not much money but I could use it for other apps.

I'd also like to support this request, please update for Blender 4.2. Also, as a mac user I haven't been able to enable live view for many versions, I'd love if that could be fixed.

I'm also would like to receive an update for 4.2. But come on guys... refund? Seriously? Especially if you had a lot of projects when this addon helped you to accomplish them. Where's your dignity?

They are only asking because the app on the store misleads users by not stating it does not work, they then end up at this dead end.

Hi there,

With the release of Blender 4.1, a new Python version was introduced, when we tried to update the plugin we found that this new version causes network issues that impact both the plugin and the app, and as a result, we are in the process of re-implementing our network protocol.

The good news is that we are fully committed to developing a new version of the app that not only resolves these issues but also introduces exciting new features. While we can’t provide an exact release date, please rest assured that we’re working to make it as stable and reliable as possible. We’ll release it when it’s ready!

For those considering a refund, the App Store offers the option to request one for any app. However, we truly believe that VirtuCamera continues to offer great value, as it remains fully functional with previous versions of Blender—especially given its affordable price at the time (now it’s free).

I've only had the app for a little bit. I'm not saying specifically me, but people most likely bought it and then realized it didn't work with the latest Blender. It's not much money but still.

Would the updated version just be an update to the one in the appstore already? Or are we going to need to buy a new one or something? Just curious. I've been getting back into blender more and I think it would be sick to be able to use this app again on the latest versions so I'm getting giddy lol. Not tryna be rude and rush, I just really like the app, you(IDK how many devs there are) did a great job on it!
