Discussion topic: How can projects build community roadmaps for important intitiatives?
Brief description of issue/challenge:
Stakeholders in projects that are not part of a core development team often have a difficult time engaging a software community. The features required for the Nuclear Physicist might well help the Microbiology crowd as well. One approach is to produce a roadmap that RSEs can commit and the project work towards. What are techniques that have worked to get a common community roadmap?
