ESIP member, Soren Scott, created software assessment guidelines with two goals: (1) Provide resources and guidance to different kinds of research groups and other stakeholders to support research code/software development within our research communities. (2) Provide a progression model and related discussion around sustainability, adoption and reuse, and assessment that reflects the variation in research development products.
