Impact changes #107

weaves impact into plan, in chapter 3 where impact figure is, in chapters 4-7, after each activity, and in chapter 10 (partly) as overall table

The collaborations workshop is a good workshop but I think we might want to choose a workshop/conference organized by one of the other NSF institutes to foster the collaboration between the NSF institutes. The fellows could jump in for projects that cannot be filled by fellows of other institutes because it might be a more generic project.

The collaborations workshop is not discussed in this PR. It's in existing (and unchanged) text in the Community and Outreach Chapter, and I think it's there as an example, not as something we would do. My request is that you open a new issue for this, and assign it to @karthik, as that's in his chapter, not in this PR.

The four major outreach channels have only Slack as interactive channel. I know that there was not much uptake on discourse. It might be different if the first summerschool and carpentries have taken place and people start to discuss more about certain topics and don't want to lose the discussion. Maybe we could mention that we consider to offer it if we see the demand?

As far as I can tell, this is also not discussed in this PR. It's in existing (and unchanged) text in the Community and Outreach Chapter. My request is that you open a new issue for this, and assign it to @karthik, as that's in his chapter, not in this PR.
