Pros

Full screen
Caching of app shell (all static assets: CSS, Fonts, JavaScript)
Add to homescreen with custom icon which helps with branding. Even better support in the future: https://techcrunch.com/2017/02/02/google-will-soon-integrate-progressive-web-apps-deeper-into-android/

Cons

Time-consuming
Requires some testing with https://github.com/GoogleChrome/lighthouse

Additional suggested features

Those are features that would go well with a PWA.

Add Web Push notifications (updates on tracking of parcel)
Add deeper Firebase integration (save user preferences and previous searches)
