i couldnt find any solution so i decided to create an issue

whenmusicattacks commented 3 years ago

you need to use bios reovery to get back to a pre-plundervolt bios

use google search to understand more

Bhavinjain260 commented 3 years ago

I found a reddit post on how to do that But I couldnt find CPUSetup in ru.efi

And i even tried using modgrubshell and shell to do that but in modgrub changes weren't saving

Newer macbooks (Post-2015) has undervolting disabled, there is no way to change it. I am sorry.

@Bhavinjain260 are you sure that your processor is able to do under voltage ? Show me the output of the info command

./voltageshift info

you need to use a programmer to unlock undervolt on new system firmwares

terslowe commented 1 month ago

I have the same problem, i have successfully disabled the overlocking lock and CFG lock on my Dell laptop. BUt the Offset seems all the time 0mv.

How to solve this problem? I really need undervolt my laptop because is gooing to hot by normal use.

What do you mean with pre-plundervolt bios ? Can i also do that?
