Are you sure your Magic is connected to your network?

The same problem here. I'm definitely connected to the network, but there is no
reaction from both the PC or client application (e.g. not even any error
message etc.); I'm running Debian linux / Android 1.6 on HTC Tattoo.

OS: Windows 7. Phone: HTC Desire.

Same problem. I enter 10.0.0.1 (the IP the app gives me). The pad and
mousebuttons (with a keyboard icon between them) shows on my screen. I'm
running the server app on my PC. Nothing happens. I tried running the server
before starting the app, and vise versa.

Great, I can answer my own question, and maybe it's the same answer for the
rest of us.

Disable your firewall. (I feel so stupid...)
