Can confirm.
I have the same issue. UE4.26.2 was OK, but 5.0.0 is doesn't work completely.
Well... right now it doesn't even bake to 'bake' folder.
Hi, I have an update about this issue.
When I referenced the Blueprint with "unreal_instance" in Houdini, "baking actors" completely works. (But when I referenced the Static Mesh, it's still not working.) Is any help to your work?
Houdini Engine v2 has many useful functions. So I hope you solve this issue in the future.
When baking to Actor, HEngine does not place actors on the level. It only outputs static meshes in 'Bake' folder. Tested with own HDAs but even rock_generator provided with plugin works this way. In UE 4.26 everything is fine.
