Kernel panic after upgrading to 1.8.0 on proxmox

Description

After upgrading mixed control plane/worker node, kernel panics and reboots nonstop. Selecting the previous version on GRUB works. Tried changing CPU type on proxmox between host and x86-64-V3 and V2. Changing machine type between q35 and i440fx.

Removing the Pass-through GPU causes it to successfully boot into 1.8.0.
