Create a new menu item called Favourites #74

Describe the feature you want implemented.
Too many playlists become a problem to manage. There needs to be a way to
highlight a few favourite playlists easily.

Create a new left hand menu entry called Favourites. This area would highlight
a few favourite playlists, while the full listing of playlists is tucked away
inside Playlists. There could be a threshold of playlists that determines when
to introduce Favourites. For example, after 20 playlists have been created,
make the Favourites menu appear, with an explanation. In this way, people with
a few playlists don’t need Favourites, but people with many are allowed to
find their favourite playlists easily.

Describe why you think that this feature is needed.
As a person’s music collection grows and more and more playlists are created,
it becomes inefficient to find the playlist of choice amongst all the playlists
that have been created.

Are there any other projects that inspired you? Do you have any screenshots
or mockups to show a concept of this feature?
Not that I am aware of.

I think that it would be weird to put playlists outside the "Playlists" menu
item.

Maybe we should have a system where N playlists are visible when you go over a
certain threshold and the rest is accessible via a "More" item.

Or instead we should just let users create folders for their playlists?

I suggest scrapping this idea altogether and follow the example set by Explorer.

Rather create a new entry called Favourites above Now Playing.

The user could then add whatever they want to the Favourites view. They could
add a single song, an artist, an album, a genre, a search term, a playlist, etc.

That would be far more flexible and useful than the limited scenario I proposed
above.

It feels a bit strange yet, I have not figured out a nice way to implement
this. Work has started, however...
