Was just scrolling through settings, and found that there is an option to
Display open / delete buttons in session list
Display open / delete buttons when the cursor is over the session list.
I hadn't seen it before
Here's how Tab Session Manager currently looks:
Here's a mockup I did of how I wish it could look:
Thanks for the request! I will inprove the highlight color in dark mode.
I also feel that the UI of the save button needs to be improved. I'm considering making a save button like this. Opinions are welcome!
I guess it's an improvement in that 1) scrollview is now longer 2) Save button is highlighted more
but it's a little bit of a downgrade, too, as: 1) very similar to Android UI floating buttons, which (to me at least) tend to be annoying mysterious buttons without clear purpose; at least this one is clearly labelled. 2) Colour is a small improvement, but still very similar to the rest of the GUI. I still fancy a different "GitHub green" for the save button, to differentiate it from other UI elements 3) What about title for session? Is it still editable (might be an arguable improvement, though, if it just saves without fussing with titles)
Oooh, just realised, if you redesign the save button, what about putting the Tab Session Manager "Save" diskette icon on it?
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. 2 problems:
highlighting colours are low contrast pastels, especially noticeable on TN screeens. My ageing Dad struggles to see the highlights.
The Save button is difficult to see, as it has no highlighting. My old Dad can't see it, and I, with my young eyes, have to hover the mouse around for a second before I find it.
The "Open all tabs" and "Delete Session" buttons that appear on hover are easy for the elderly/tech-illiterate to press accidentally. My dad's done this a few times. Open All Tabs will open the 400 tabs he had saved and kills his slow computer. Delete session means he calls me, panicking that he's lost them all.Describe the solution you'd like
Add an option to disable the floating "Delete session" and "Open Session" buttons that appear on hover. As the buttons are already duplicated, with label text, on the right, above the session content when a session is selected, they are not needed save for advanced/batch session management. This will help avoid accidental clicks.
