Lucifer Call (SMT:Nocturne) Regression in r576 #124

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
It's little weird, because this issue happened somewhere between r575
(unaffected) and r577 (affected), and there was savestates change (so it's
not easy to find exact regression revision), ver 576 does not load 575 saves.

Trouble is: pcsx2 shutdowned without any messages. Console closed, so I
could not made a proper report. At first FMW (Tokyo destroy), and most
funny -- at the middle of it (not at start, that I could expect).

This issue is independent for GS and audio plugins selection and different
Advanced and Speed hacks options.

P.S. And Last bit of info: 576 is affected.

So if I read this correctly, r576 is more or less "confirmed" to have
introduced this
regression? ie, r575 works and r576 breaks, so it's almost certainly related
to the
VU regs packing change?

Yes, it seems so.

p.S. Is it possible to write console log to file?

Try pcsx2.exe > file.txt

Errata: it's seems that this issue related only for VM builds, VTLB one is
unaffected.
And for VM ones:

r576 and r577 is not affected (on contrary I told before -- I think I made
incorrect
executable file names). r579, r580, r590, r610, r616 affected. r578 (when I was
able
to load save, which is unusual) was affected to. 578 was a experimental
revolution,
so if I correct at this time, it's one of this VM breaks.

This is a known problem then. Something in r578 broke VM's ability to play
FMVs. I
don't know what it was though. -_-

VM builds have been discontinued, so issue closed. :)
