Exact same issue here today I'm in France, just recently moved my phone subcription to LycaMobile and can't receive the verification code. It worked fine on whatsapp and telegram.

Describe here the issue that you are experiencing. while changing number, signal doesn't send verification code to new number.
Steps to reproduce
Actual result: unable to request verification code. please check network connection and try again. Expected result: send verification code to the new number and change the account number successfully.
