Bug description

Describe here the issue that you are experiencing. while changing number, signal doesn't send verification code to new number.

Steps to reproduce

settings
account
change number
put old and new number
verify the numbers are correct
pass test to verify if i am human
received error

Actual result: unable to request verification code. please check network connection and try again. Expected result: send verification code to the new number and change the account number successfully.

Exact same issue here today I'm in France, just recently moved my phone subcription to LycaMobile and can't receive the verification code. It worked fine on whatsapp and telegram.

Exact same issue here with an NL phone number.

Exact same issue with PL phone number

The whole story:

I entered Change Number view
I typed old number, new number, I confirmed new number
Verification code arrived
After entering verification code application crashed
When trying again to change number, "Unable to request verification code" message pops up
