Signal desktop showing incoming and outgoing video calls that were never made. #6380

I am using Signal-Desktop as provided by the Signal team, not a 3rd-party package.

Bug Description

For a contact the desktop singal app is showing multiple video calls received and made when none of the calls were made. All the calls show exact same time. No call data is shown on the synced android app. This has happened moe than once.

Steps to Reproduce

None..the desktop app just hows the calls on its own No calls should show if there were not made. This started happening in past 8 days.

Posting the link here means sharing it with everyone. Does the log contain any personal information?

Debuglogs do not contain any content of your messages or reveal any personal information, they show a history of the code that ran with timestamps, and any identifiers within are redacted. They are intended to be shared publicly

@pythongeek897 Can you give me any more history of your activity? You're saying that no call on any of your devices was made at this time? Or was there a call made and this is the wrong description of what happened?

It would be helpful to see debuglogs from people's other devices. From the logs here and sent to support we're on the receiving end of a call history event. So some other device is telling us that a call was made.

I've recently started having this issue as well. It happened once on Aug 11, and just now twice, all with the same contact. I have not noticed any other instances. @SepticFuddy sorry about that. If it will happen again - could you ask your contact to submit their debug log? It'd be really helpful for us to see both caller and receiver calls in order to understand what happened. Thank you!
