URLs with accented characters not recognized as links #6995

Overall summary

Pasted/typed URLs with accented characters aren't recognized as links and no link preview is generated.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Go to any chat
  2. Paste any URL with accented characters (Reddit is a good example, because it keeps accents on its URLs – https://www.reddit.com/r/portugal/comments/1f1nio8/mapa_de_risco_sísmico_em_lisboa/)
  3. Send message

Expected result

The URL should be clickable and a link preview should be generated (this works in the iOS app with the same URL).

Actual result

URL is treated as text: it isn't clickable and no link preview is shown.
