Unable to Accept Request to Join Group

Bug description

I have received a request to join my signal group via link but am unable to accept the new member.

Steps to reproduce

Clicking "Add to Group" on the request gives the error "Group could not be updated".
If I click on the user's profile and try to add via "Add to another group" I get the error "xxxxx is already a member of xxxxx".

Actual result: The end result is the user is stuck in a state where they cannot be added, and every time I open the group I get the blue bar at the top saying "1 pending member request".

Expected result: I should be able to accept the incoming group request
