In Ripple Emulator, I can be on a view page and hold down the PAGE DOWN button. It hits the bottom of the page, loading box instantly pops up, jumps right to the bottom of page again, loading box instantly pops up, etc.
In app, I scroll down to the bottom of the same page and it takes 2-5 seconds before the loading box instantly pops up. Scroll down to the bottom of the page again and it takes another 2-5 seconds before the loading box pops up.
