i have a first version of the shiny app working. the app works locally and through hosting mechanism on EC2 via the launch script (see submission/launch.R)
there's more to do here in terms of performance optimization / automation. i'll leave the branch open
but im going to merge what a have for now.
also note that this PR will bring in two new function (in addition to focus_explorer()):
submission_summary(): function to get summarized point estimates for use in tables in the shiny ... could use elsewhere too.
spread_value(): unexported helper used to reshape data in submission_summary()
