Hadley notes that imports have no bearing on our code. Only when we distribute code in our package will we need to think about license compatibility.
I'd completely forgotten we are using a modified version of the confusion matrix code, rather than importing the package. This package is MIT: https://github.com/m-clark/confusionMatrix/blob/master/LICENSE.md
Our license is currently GPLv3. According to this paper (https://journals.plos.org/ploscompbiol/article?id=10.1371/journal.pcbi.1002598) MIT is forward compatible with GPL. Meaning that we can use either MIT or GPL.
