tested with english -failed

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. tested with phototest.txt which is vertical form

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
unable to select font of english.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
tesseract-gui 0.1.1.3  Ubuntu9.04

Please provide any additional information below.
tool is expected should work for all lang.apart from indic.
