Asking for "host" to finish integration #18

Can anyone help me with that to put here? Thanks! Screenshot from 2022-02-24 14-24-56

You need to find out the IP Address of your weatherlink device and put it there. One way to find it is to look directly on your access point / router.

flcmakerspace commented 2 years ago

Thanks for your reply. On my weatherlink account, I can view AirLink IP Address, Router IP, and Subnet Mask. I have tried each of these and they are not working.

siku2 commented 2 years ago

It should be the airlink IP that you need, but I'm not familiar enough with the website to tell for sure. The integration has built-in auto discovery. Since that doesn't seem to work either in your case I strongly suspect there's something going on with your network configuration. Can you share more information about your setup?

Sorry, it's been a while and I still haven't got this worked out. Please let me know if you need any other info.

Apologies, I wasn't very specific with my question. I'm wondering what your network looks like. Is your weatherlink device connected to a different network than your Home Assistant for instance?

Based on the details in your screenshot (running mint, username contains makerspace) I would expect your network to look a little more complicated than usual ;)

Hello everyone, I have the same problem.

The WeatherLink Console 6313 is on the same network. The network is a 172.16.#.# Is the Console 6313 or the Network perhaps the reason?

I'm wondering why an IP is required here. I have a Pro account at Weatherlink.com and would also fetch the data via API.

I would be happy for help :)

siku2 commented 6 months ago

@pfriedrich90 this integration is focused on pulling the data directly from your local weatherlink device without going through any cloud. If you're interested in fetching data from the cloud take a look at https://github.com/astrandb/weatherlink instead (yes, the naming conflict is somewhat unfortunate)

@siku2 Thanks a lot!

very unfortunate, the console 6313 can't be accessed directly yet
