Robotium is unable to locate the web view elements on Android Samsung Galaxy S3 ( V 4.3)

Hi Renas,

We are testing a hybrid android application.

But After upgrading the device version from 4.1.2 to version 4.3 , we find that 
the automation scripts that run good on 4.1.2 are unable to run on version 4.3.

On Android Version 4.3, the tool have no problem when it comes to locate the 
native part elements( the tool performs validations, clicks) but when a webpage 
 is rendered say (Login Page) the tool is unable to find(locate) the labels or 
the text boxes that are rendered on that page.

NOTE:: We are using the latest jar (Robotium solo 5).

Please provide your inputs on the same

Thanks for reporting this. Does the script work on the 4.3 emulator?

Hi Renas,

Not very sure about the 4.3 Emulator as we hardly test the app on the Emulator.

Would appreciate if we can get a resolution for this asap.

Unfortunately there is nothing we can do when vendors do custmoizations of the 
Android platform. As it worked on the previous version the bug is with Samsung 
and not with us.
