The manuscript reads well and is very adequate. Below three minor comments that could be considered for clarification:

Symbol description should move out of figure caption and into text after equation (1).
Line 43: Abbreviatio CSEs already introduced above and could be used.
Maybe could give some other applications, for a broader horizon, e.g., CCSN ejecta? Would it work here as well?
