There is an issue in SA where the “SA Display Window” does not correctly show the layout. This issue has been around for a while and affects some computers due to a Windows update. Below are screen shots of the results in some computers and what SA would normally display. The RED shows places where the display is too small, and BLUE shows a typical layout view.

A few years ago I found a work around for this issue which is simple to apply, but it’s not a fix. It would be great if this problem could be permanently fixed in the SA code. I have emailed this work-around to many people with good success.

Workaround

Below it the work around technique…

To implement this work around requires that the user locate the Properties option in SA. With Speech Analyzer on the Desktop, do a right mouse click and select Properties.

Then select “Compatibility” and then click on “Change high DPI settings”. then select "High DPI scaling override".

Then select the small checkbox that says "Override high DPI scaling behavior”. For "Scaling performed by” chose the “System” option. Then click OK, Apply and OK.

Toolbar icons are very small on high resolution screens. The operating system doesn’t scale the application. This is not the case with the older version Speech Analyzer v3.1.0.0,

Some users report this seems to be a bigger issue with recent WIndows 11 environments where the icons are too small to be usable. Even worse when run in Parallels.
